I think i have an idea about a boardgame that has a setting of Egypt. so far just thought of how it looks like: a board with a piramid, like Loon's chinese chess. just someting to think about.

I can imagine the board game now. XD maybe you can include some puzzle solving, hmm....maybe include something like that randomized alphabet stuff or decoding symbols? Just some random idea doubt it'll be useful silent

not chinese chess. just his concept. maybe a maze that shifts around within a piramid....its still in Egypt, China.

Or we make the pyramid chess like the 'switch' board game but a lot better than that.
6player must first get the treasure at first
after founding the chest
the mummy and the mummy cat will come out to chase the player with chest
6 player must work together to solve the maze in the pyramid in order to get up or kill the other 5 player and claim the treausre as its own

so you want this to be a racing game or elimination game? personally i think that there is a chaser (the mummy) is quite good. what i would put in the mechanics if it were racing will be like this: the players have to work their way up to the top of the pyramid, solve puzzle mansion of horror style, chase by the god forsaken mummy, get the treasure on top like fan suggested.

take the treasure and then go to the top of the tower for??
for me i would just find a escape route.
two ways
1. racing game - take the treasure, open the escape portal, trap activate, run
2. elimination game - collect skill card or weapon card before some time limit(turns), 6 player, roll dice, who get the number get the treasure, mummy and mummy cat appear, ancient trap activate, kill the mummy to win the board game.

well what i mean is their goal is to reach the top of the pyramid. i dint focus on role play yet, so if really want then lets just say on top of the pyramid there is a treasure, and the only way is also to the top cus there will be a helicopter.

Maybe the game shouldnt have a big board at all, we use small tiles with different maze in it and the players have to stack them up like a pyramid. This way we have elimination since players must get to next floor before they are crush by the higher floor.

If dont understand, think musical chair.

hmm...maybe make it like a special tile we have to arrange it by getting the tiles into a particular arrangement. then the tiles can act as the key to the treasure.

hmm..interesting.. you can upload some image to show the prototype board..

so..i'm guessing this...it's set during one of those times when eygptian archaelogic digs was the hot thing among the scientific community, you know, the Mummy...

This might work as both co-op and vs game, where players compete to travel through the pyrmamid maze and uncover its hidden treasures...one player will be the game master or the undead pharaoh sorceror thingy who instead would want to protect the treasure, by summoning undead and place curses onto players...and move certain dungeon walls and secret passages...

Here'e an example...boardgame: The Last Night on Earth...where it's a one gamemaster vs a bunch of other players...

Though I think the maps/maze can be made of custom tiles to keep it different for every play...

Wow the game even has a soundtrack. maybe we should add that.....The Mummy anyone?


cant read the rules though, speed too slow and lag but kinda get the idea.

My idea of the tiles is like this:
The pyramid are actually tiles with mazes inside. Can be rotated i guess.
First start with the base, then it slowly stacks up like a pyramid until only one tile is on top all others (like a pyramid but flat)

my idea is the players should find ways to reach the top of the pyramid where the tresure is, where a mummy/sorcerer thingy tries to stop them like sir said.

i guess the only problem is what happens to the tiles that are stacked over and how the game should go.

Maybe we can put some smaller event piles on top of the maze piles?
-monster
-weird ancient traps that will block your way.
-weapons
-key symbol
-action tiles?(run away, use weapon on mummy, investigate)
Maze tiles can have some/one key hole
when they get the key to the key hole tile then they can proceed to the next floor?

How many sides do your tiles have? Maybe I can help out.
