Re: On board games
can we make it on thursday this week? i have things to do on fridays
but, yeah, sacthel...the amount of treasure collected is an interesting idea...so that players can choose to aim for more gold or less but assessable ones.
keep those ideas coming

Re: On board games
the treasure idea is from another boardgame. (The Mines i think)
Well in case anyone got confuse here the way i see the boardgame has two possible way to make it:
Auction/Bargain/Build (ABB)
This is the alternate idea darren and i talked about. getting resources and put tiles to make pyramid. The more tiles equals to more VP.
Explore/Combat/Story (ECS)
This is the original type fan and i was aiming for. After we tried Mansion of Madness, i think we have a solid base on how thinks should work. VP points sounds meaningless in this type. I hope it would be more story based to increase immersion.
Or if any of you guys has another approach, please do tell it. and the thursday it is.

Re: On board games
Auction/Bargain/Build (ABB): The you will need to consider the type of resources< such as lumber, lime stones, labor, architects, food, gold, priests (to exorcise ghosts), managers, ect. Try looking into how pyramids are built and what dangers are there (can be fictional, such as spell plagues, riots, bandits, and war).
Explore/Combat/Story (ECS): This is more like Brandon Fraser's the Mummy films. You just list out scenarios and mission goals.
and character attributes first.I'm guessing the board is made of custom built tiles too.
